China (PRC) Country Code
For data processing and communications and China (PRC) and it's dependent areas is represent by a China (PRC) Country code. China (PRC) country code is a short numeric geographical code (geocodes) developed by the ISO 3166-1 system. China (PRC) country code is freqently refered to as China (PRC) dialing codes or China (PRC) E.164 calling code.
China (PRC) Country Code is used when dialing to China (PRC) from outside China (PRC). China (PRC) Country Code is however not used when dialing within China (PRC).
To call China (PRC) from outside China (PRC), you have to dial the your own country's International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), China (PRC) Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number as:
Your Countries International Direct Dialing Prefix (IDD) +86 (China (PRC) Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside China (PRC) into China (PRC), Dial '+' +86 (China (PRC) Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" can be reached by holding down the "0" key until it turns into a "+". The "+" is universal prefix for all international mobile telephone calls including China (PRC))
China (PRC) International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the China (PRC) to outside the country (Refer to international dialing China (PRC) code or China (PRC) international access code). Do not use China (PRC) IDD when dialing within China (PRC).
China (PRC) National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD) is used when dialing to a destination within the China (PRC) (Refer to dialing China (PRC) code). Do not use China (PRC) National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside China (PRC) into China (PRC). China (PRC) NDD is only used as long distance dialing within the country.
