East Timor Country Code
For data processing and communications and East Timor and it's dependent areas is represent by a East Timor Country code. East Timor country code is a short numeric geographical code (geocodes) developed by the ISO 3166-1 system. East Timor country code is freqently refered to as East Timor dialing codes or East Timor E.164 calling code.
East Timor Country Code is used when dialing to East Timor from outside East Timor. East Timor Country Code is however not used when dialing within East Timor.
To call East Timor from outside East Timor, you have to dial the your own country's International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), East Timor Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number as:
Your Countries International Direct Dialing Prefix (IDD) +670 (East Timor Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside East Timor into East Timor, Dial '+' +670 (East Timor Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" can be reached by holding down the "0" key until it turns into a "+". The "+" is universal prefix for all international mobile telephone calls including East Timor)
East Timor International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the East Timor to outside the country (Refer to international dialing East Timor code or East Timor international access code). Do not use East Timor IDD when dialing within East Timor.
East Timor National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD) is used when dialing to a destination within the East Timor (Refer to dialing East Timor code). Do not use East Timor National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside East Timor into East Timor. East Timor NDD is only used as long distance dialing within the country.
