French Antilles Country Code
For data processing and communications and French Antilles and it's dependent areas is represent by a French Antilles Country code. French Antilles country code is a short numeric geographical code (geocodes) developed by the ISO 3166-1 system. French Antilles country code is freqently refered to as French Antilles dialing codes or French Antilles E.164 calling code.
French Antilles Country Code is used when dialing to French Antilles from outside French Antilles. French Antilles Country Code is however not used when dialing within French Antilles.
To call French Antilles from outside French Antilles, you have to dial the your own country's International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), French Antilles Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number as:
Your Countries International Direct Dialing Prefix (IDD) +596 (French Antilles Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside French Antilles into French Antilles, Dial '+' +596 (French Antilles Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" can be reached by holding down the "0" key until it turns into a "+". The "+" is universal prefix for all international mobile telephone calls including French Antilles)
French Antilles International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the French Antilles to outside the country (Refer to international dialing French Antilles code or French Antilles international access code). Do not use French Antilles IDD when dialing within French Antilles.
French Antilles National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD) is used when dialing to a destination within the French Antilles (Refer to dialing French Antilles code). Do not use French Antilles National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside French Antilles into French Antilles. French Antilles NDD is only used as long distance dialing within the country.
