International Dialing Bahrain
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Bahrain. International Dialing Bahrain Code is also known as Bahrain International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Bahrain to outside Bahrain (sometimes also refers to as Bahrain international access code). Do not use Bahrain IDD code when dialing within Bahrain. By simply using the Bahrain Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Bahrain from within Bahrain. Without this international dialing Bahrain Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Bahrain because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Bahrain from within Bahrain, you have to dial International Dialing Bahrain Code or Bahrain International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Bahrain Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+973 (International Dialing Bahrain Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Bahrain from Bahrain, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Bahrain)
On the other hand, when dialing to Bahrain from outside Bahrain, a Bahrain Country Code is used. Bahrain Country Code however is not used when dialing within Bahrain.
The other type of code is Bahrain National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Bahrain (Refer to dialing Bahrain code). Bahrain NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Bahrain. Do not use Bahrain National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Bahrain into Bahrain.
