International Dialing Bhutan
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Bhutan. International Dialing Bhutan Code is also known as Bhutan International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Bhutan to outside Bhutan (sometimes also refers to as Bhutan international access code). Do not use Bhutan IDD code when dialing within Bhutan. By simply using the Bhutan Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Bhutan from within Bhutan. Without this international dialing Bhutan Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Bhutan because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Bhutan from within Bhutan, you have to dial International Dialing Bhutan Code or Bhutan International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Bhutan Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+975 (International Dialing Bhutan Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Bhutan from Bhutan, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Bhutan)
On the other hand, when dialing to Bhutan from outside Bhutan, a Bhutan Country Code is used. Bhutan Country Code however is not used when dialing within Bhutan.
The other type of code is Bhutan National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Bhutan (Refer to dialing Bhutan code). Bhutan NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Bhutan. Do not use Bhutan National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Bhutan into Bhutan.
