International Dialing Cambodia
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Cambodia. International Dialing Cambodia Code is also known as Cambodia International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Cambodia to outside Cambodia (sometimes also refers to as Cambodia international access code). Do not use Cambodia IDD code when dialing within Cambodia. By simply using the Cambodia Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Cambodia from within Cambodia. Without this international dialing Cambodia Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Cambodia because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Cambodia from within Cambodia, you have to dial International Dialing Cambodia Code or Cambodia International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Cambodia Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+855 (International Dialing Cambodia Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Cambodia from Cambodia, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Cambodia)
On the other hand, when dialing to Cambodia from outside Cambodia, a Cambodia Country Code is used. Cambodia Country Code however is not used when dialing within Cambodia.
The other type of code is Cambodia National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Cambodia (Refer to dialing Cambodia code). Cambodia NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Cambodia. Do not use Cambodia National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Cambodia into Cambodia.
