International Dialing Comoros
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Comoros. International Dialing Comoros Code is also known as Comoros International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Comoros to outside Comoros (sometimes also refers to as Comoros international access code). Do not use Comoros IDD code when dialing within Comoros. By simply using the Comoros Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Comoros from within Comoros. Without this international dialing Comoros Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Comoros because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Comoros from within Comoros, you have to dial International Dialing Comoros Code or Comoros International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Comoros Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+269 (International Dialing Comoros Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Comoros from Comoros, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Comoros)
On the other hand, when dialing to Comoros from outside Comoros, a Comoros Country Code is used. Comoros Country Code however is not used when dialing within Comoros.
The other type of code is Comoros National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Comoros (Refer to dialing Comoros code). Comoros NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Comoros. Do not use Comoros National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Comoros into Comoros.
