International Dialing Cyprus
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Cyprus. International Dialing Cyprus Code is also known as Cyprus International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Cyprus to outside Cyprus (sometimes also refers to as Cyprus international access code). Do not use Cyprus IDD code when dialing within Cyprus. By simply using the Cyprus Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Cyprus from within Cyprus. Without this international dialing Cyprus Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Cyprus because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Cyprus from within Cyprus, you have to dial International Dialing Cyprus Code or Cyprus International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Cyprus Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+357 (International Dialing Cyprus Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Cyprus from Cyprus, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Cyprus)
On the other hand, when dialing to Cyprus from outside Cyprus, a Cyprus Country Code is used. Cyprus Country Code however is not used when dialing within Cyprus.
The other type of code is Cyprus National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Cyprus (Refer to dialing Cyprus code). Cyprus NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Cyprus. Do not use Cyprus National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Cyprus into Cyprus.
