International Dialing Djibouti
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Djibouti. International Dialing Djibouti Code is also known as Djibouti International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Djibouti to outside Djibouti (sometimes also refers to as Djibouti international access code). Do not use Djibouti IDD code when dialing within Djibouti. By simply using the Djibouti Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Djibouti from within Djibouti. Without this international dialing Djibouti Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Djibouti because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Djibouti from within Djibouti, you have to dial International Dialing Djibouti Code or Djibouti International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Djibouti Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+253 (International Dialing Djibouti Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Djibouti from Djibouti, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Djibouti)
On the other hand, when dialing to Djibouti from outside Djibouti, a Djibouti Country Code is used. Djibouti Country Code however is not used when dialing within Djibouti.
The other type of code is Djibouti National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Djibouti (Refer to dialing Djibouti code). Djibouti NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Djibouti. Do not use Djibouti National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Djibouti into Djibouti.
