International Dialing Eritrea
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Eritrea. International Dialing Eritrea Code is also known as Eritrea International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Eritrea to outside Eritrea (sometimes also refers to as Eritrea international access code). Do not use Eritrea IDD code when dialing within Eritrea. By simply using the Eritrea Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Eritrea from within Eritrea. Without this international dialing Eritrea Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Eritrea because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Eritrea from within Eritrea, you have to dial International Dialing Eritrea Code or Eritrea International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Eritrea Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+291 (International Dialing Eritrea Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Eritrea from Eritrea, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Eritrea)
On the other hand, when dialing to Eritrea from outside Eritrea, a Eritrea Country Code is used. Eritrea Country Code however is not used when dialing within Eritrea.
The other type of code is Eritrea National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Eritrea (Refer to dialing Eritrea code). Eritrea NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Eritrea. Do not use Eritrea National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Eritrea into Eritrea.
