International Dialing Gibraltar
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Gibraltar. International Dialing Gibraltar Code is also known as Gibraltar International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Gibraltar to outside Gibraltar (sometimes also refers to as Gibraltar international access code). Do not use Gibraltar IDD code when dialing within Gibraltar. By simply using the Gibraltar Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Gibraltar from within Gibraltar. Without this international dialing Gibraltar Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Gibraltar because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Gibraltar from within Gibraltar, you have to dial International Dialing Gibraltar Code or Gibraltar International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Gibraltar Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+350 (International Dialing Gibraltar Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Gibraltar from Gibraltar, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Gibraltar)
On the other hand, when dialing to Gibraltar from outside Gibraltar, a Gibraltar Country Code is used. Gibraltar Country Code however is not used when dialing within Gibraltar.
The other type of code is Gibraltar National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Gibraltar (Refer to dialing Gibraltar code). Gibraltar NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Gibraltar. Do not use Gibraltar National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Gibraltar into Gibraltar.
