International Dialing Haiti
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Haiti. International Dialing Haiti Code is also known as Haiti International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Haiti to outside Haiti (sometimes also refers to as Haiti international access code). Do not use Haiti IDD code when dialing within Haiti. By simply using the Haiti Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Haiti from within Haiti. Without this international dialing Haiti Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Haiti because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Haiti from within Haiti, you have to dial International Dialing Haiti Code or Haiti International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Haiti Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+509 (International Dialing Haiti Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Haiti from Haiti, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Haiti)
On the other hand, when dialing to Haiti from outside Haiti, a Haiti Country Code is used. Haiti Country Code however is not used when dialing within Haiti.
The other type of code is Haiti National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Haiti (Refer to dialing Haiti code). Haiti NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Haiti. Do not use Haiti National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Haiti into Haiti.
