International Dialing India
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from India. International Dialing India Code is also known as India International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the India to outside India (sometimes also refers to as India international access code). Do not use India IDD code when dialing within India. By simply using the India Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside India from within India. Without this international dialing India Code, you will not able to place a call outside the India because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside India from within India, you have to dial International Dialing India Code or India International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), India Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+91 (International Dialing India Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside India from India, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes India)
On the other hand, when dialing to India from outside India, a India Country Code is used. India Country Code however is not used when dialing within India.
The other type of code is India National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the India (Refer to dialing India code). India NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the India. Do not use India National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside India into India.
