International Dialing Lesotho
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Lesotho. International Dialing Lesotho Code is also known as Lesotho International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Lesotho to outside Lesotho (sometimes also refers to as Lesotho international access code). Do not use Lesotho IDD code when dialing within Lesotho. By simply using the Lesotho Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Lesotho from within Lesotho. Without this international dialing Lesotho Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Lesotho because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Lesotho from within Lesotho, you have to dial International Dialing Lesotho Code or Lesotho International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Lesotho Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+266 (International Dialing Lesotho Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Lesotho from Lesotho, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Lesotho)
On the other hand, when dialing to Lesotho from outside Lesotho, a Lesotho Country Code is used. Lesotho Country Code however is not used when dialing within Lesotho.
The other type of code is Lesotho National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Lesotho (Refer to dialing Lesotho code). Lesotho NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Lesotho. Do not use Lesotho National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Lesotho into Lesotho.
