International Dialing Montserrat
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Montserrat. International Dialing Montserrat Code is also known as Montserrat International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Montserrat to outside Montserrat (sometimes also refers to as Montserrat international access code). Do not use Montserrat IDD code when dialing within Montserrat. By simply using the Montserrat Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Montserrat from within Montserrat. Without this international dialing Montserrat Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Montserrat because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Montserrat from within Montserrat, you have to dial International Dialing Montserrat Code or Montserrat International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Montserrat Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+1-664 (International Dialing Montserrat Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Montserrat from Montserrat, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Montserrat)
On the other hand, when dialing to Montserrat from outside Montserrat, a Montserrat Country Code is used. Montserrat Country Code however is not used when dialing within Montserrat.
The other type of code is Montserrat National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Montserrat (Refer to dialing Montserrat code). Montserrat NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Montserrat. Do not use Montserrat National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Montserrat into Montserrat.
