International Dialing Namibia
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Namibia. International Dialing Namibia Code is also known as Namibia International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Namibia to outside Namibia (sometimes also refers to as Namibia international access code). Do not use Namibia IDD code when dialing within Namibia. By simply using the Namibia Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Namibia from within Namibia. Without this international dialing Namibia Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Namibia because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Namibia from within Namibia, you have to dial International Dialing Namibia Code or Namibia International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Namibia Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+264 (International Dialing Namibia Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Namibia from Namibia, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Namibia)
On the other hand, when dialing to Namibia from outside Namibia, a Namibia Country Code is used. Namibia Country Code however is not used when dialing within Namibia.
The other type of code is Namibia National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Namibia (Refer to dialing Namibia code). Namibia NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Namibia. Do not use Namibia National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Namibia into Namibia.
