International Dialing Nepal
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Nepal. International Dialing Nepal Code is also known as Nepal International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Nepal to outside Nepal (sometimes also refers to as Nepal international access code). Do not use Nepal IDD code when dialing within Nepal. By simply using the Nepal Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Nepal from within Nepal. Without this international dialing Nepal Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Nepal because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Nepal from within Nepal, you have to dial International Dialing Nepal Code or Nepal International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Nepal Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+977 (International Dialing Nepal Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Nepal from Nepal, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Nepal)
On the other hand, when dialing to Nepal from outside Nepal, a Nepal Country Code is used. Nepal Country Code however is not used when dialing within Nepal.
The other type of code is Nepal National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Nepal (Refer to dialing Nepal code). Nepal NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Nepal. Do not use Nepal National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Nepal into Nepal.
