International Dialing Panama
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Panama. International Dialing Panama Code is also known as Panama International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Panama to outside Panama (sometimes also refers to as Panama international access code). Do not use Panama IDD code when dialing within Panama. By simply using the Panama Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Panama from within Panama. Without this international dialing Panama Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Panama because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Panama from within Panama, you have to dial International Dialing Panama Code or Panama International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Panama Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+507 (International Dialing Panama Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Panama from Panama, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Panama)
On the other hand, when dialing to Panama from outside Panama, a Panama Country Code is used. Panama Country Code however is not used when dialing within Panama.
The other type of code is Panama National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Panama (Refer to dialing Panama code). Panama NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Panama. Do not use Panama National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Panama into Panama.
