International Dialing Peru
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Peru. International Dialing Peru Code is also known as Peru International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Peru to outside Peru (sometimes also refers to as Peru international access code). Do not use Peru IDD code when dialing within Peru. By simply using the Peru Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Peru from within Peru. Without this international dialing Peru Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Peru because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Peru from within Peru, you have to dial International Dialing Peru Code or Peru International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Peru Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+51 (International Dialing Peru Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Peru from Peru, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Peru)
On the other hand, when dialing to Peru from outside Peru, a Peru Country Code is used. Peru Country Code however is not used when dialing within Peru.
The other type of code is Peru National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Peru (Refer to dialing Peru code). Peru NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Peru. Do not use Peru National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Peru into Peru.
