International Dialing Qatar
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Qatar. International Dialing Qatar Code is also known as Qatar International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Qatar to outside Qatar (sometimes also refers to as Qatar international access code). Do not use Qatar IDD code when dialing within Qatar. By simply using the Qatar Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Qatar from within Qatar. Without this international dialing Qatar Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Qatar because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Qatar from within Qatar, you have to dial International Dialing Qatar Code or Qatar International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Qatar Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+974 (International Dialing Qatar Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Qatar from Qatar, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Qatar)
On the other hand, when dialing to Qatar from outside Qatar, a Qatar Country Code is used. Qatar Country Code however is not used when dialing within Qatar.
The other type of code is Qatar National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Qatar (Refer to dialing Qatar code). Qatar NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Qatar. Do not use Qatar National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Qatar into Qatar.
