International Dialing Thailand
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Thailand. International Dialing Thailand Code is also known as Thailand International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Thailand to outside Thailand (sometimes also refers to as Thailand international access code). Do not use Thailand IDD code when dialing within Thailand. By simply using the Thailand Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Thailand from within Thailand. Without this international dialing Thailand Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Thailand because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Thailand from within Thailand, you have to dial International Dialing Thailand Code or Thailand International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Thailand Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+66 (International Dialing Thailand Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Thailand from Thailand, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Thailand)
On the other hand, when dialing to Thailand from outside Thailand, a Thailand Country Code is used. Thailand Country Code however is not used when dialing within Thailand.
The other type of code is Thailand National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Thailand (Refer to dialing Thailand code). Thailand NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Thailand. Do not use Thailand National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Thailand into Thailand.
