International Dialing Tunisia
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Tunisia. International Dialing Tunisia Code is also known as Tunisia International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Tunisia to outside Tunisia (sometimes also refers to as Tunisia international access code). Do not use Tunisia IDD code when dialing within Tunisia. By simply using the Tunisia Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Tunisia from within Tunisia. Without this international dialing Tunisia Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Tunisia because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Tunisia from within Tunisia, you have to dial International Dialing Tunisia Code or Tunisia International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Tunisia Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+216 (International Dialing Tunisia Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Tunisia from Tunisia, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Tunisia)
On the other hand, when dialing to Tunisia from outside Tunisia, a Tunisia Country Code is used. Tunisia Country Code however is not used when dialing within Tunisia.
The other type of code is Tunisia National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Tunisia (Refer to dialing Tunisia code). Tunisia NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Tunisia. Do not use Tunisia National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Tunisia into Tunisia.
