International Dialing Spain
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Spain. International Dialing Spain Code is also known as Spain International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Spain to outside Spain (sometimes also refers to as Spain international access code). Do not use Spain IDD code when dialing within Spain. By simply using the Spain Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Spain from within Spain. Without this international dialing Spain Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Spain because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Spain from within Spain, you have to dial International Dialing Spain Code or Spain International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Spain Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+34 (International Dialing Spain Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Spain from Spain, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Spain)
On the other hand, when dialing to Spain from outside Spain, a Spain Country Code is used. Spain Country Code however is not used when dialing within Spain.
The other type of code is Spain National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Spain (Refer to dialing Spain code). Spain NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Spain. Do not use Spain National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Spain into Spain.
