Dialing Ascension
The other type of code is Ascension National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Ascension. Ascension NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Ascension. Do not use Ascension National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Ascension into Ascension.
For Ascension long distance, you have to dial Ascension National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+247 (Ascension National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Ascension Code or Ascension International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Ascension to outside Ascension. Do not use Ascension IDD code when dialing within Ascension for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Ascension from outside Ascension, a Ascension Country Code is used . Ascension Country Code however is not used when dialing within Ascension.
