Dialing Barbados
The other type of code is Barbados National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Barbados. Barbados NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Barbados. Do not use Barbados National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Barbados into Barbados.
For Barbados long distance, you have to dial Barbados National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+1-246 (Barbados National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Barbados Code or Barbados International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Barbados to outside Barbados. Do not use Barbados IDD code when dialing within Barbados for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Barbados from outside Barbados, a Barbados Country Code is used . Barbados Country Code however is not used when dialing within Barbados.
