Dialing Botswana
The other type of code is Botswana National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Botswana. Botswana NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Botswana. Do not use Botswana National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Botswana into Botswana.
For Botswana long distance, you have to dial Botswana National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+267 (Botswana National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Botswana Code or Botswana International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Botswana to outside Botswana. Do not use Botswana IDD code when dialing within Botswana for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Botswana from outside Botswana, a Botswana Country Code is used . Botswana Country Code however is not used when dialing within Botswana.
