Dialing Congo
The other type of code is Congo National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Congo. Congo NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Congo. Do not use Congo National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Congo into Congo.
For Congo long distance, you have to dial Congo National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+242 (Congo National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Congo Code or Congo International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Congo to outside Congo. Do not use Congo IDD code when dialing within Congo for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Congo from outside Congo, a Congo Country Code is used . Congo Country Code however is not used when dialing within Congo.
