Dialing Guatemala
The other type of code is Guatemala National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Guatemala. Guatemala NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Guatemala. Do not use Guatemala National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Guatemala into Guatemala.
For Guatemala long distance, you have to dial Guatemala National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+502 (Guatemala National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Guatemala Code or Guatemala International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Guatemala to outside Guatemala. Do not use Guatemala IDD code when dialing within Guatemala for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Guatemala from outside Guatemala, a Guatemala Country Code is used . Guatemala Country Code however is not used when dialing within Guatemala.
