Dialing Iraq
The other type of code is Iraq National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Iraq. Iraq NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Iraq. Do not use Iraq National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Iraq into Iraq.
For Iraq long distance, you have to dial Iraq National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+964 (Iraq National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Iraq Code or Iraq International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Iraq to outside Iraq. Do not use Iraq IDD code when dialing within Iraq for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Iraq from outside Iraq, a Iraq Country Code is used . Iraq Country Code however is not used when dialing within Iraq.
