Dialing Jordan
The other type of code is Jordan National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Jordan. Jordan NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Jordan. Do not use Jordan National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Jordan into Jordan.
For Jordan long distance, you have to dial Jordan National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+962 (Jordan National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Jordan Code or Jordan International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Jordan to outside Jordan. Do not use Jordan IDD code when dialing within Jordan for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Jordan from outside Jordan, a Jordan Country Code is used . Jordan Country Code however is not used when dialing within Jordan.
