Dialing Maldives

The other type of code is Maldives National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Maldives. Maldives NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Maldives. Do not use Maldives National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Maldives into Maldives.

For Maldives long distance, you have to dial Maldives National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:

+960 (Maldives National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

On the other hand, International Dialing Maldives Code or Maldives International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Maldives to outside Maldives. Do not use Maldives IDD code when dialing within Maldives for long distance.

On the other hand, when dialing to Maldives from outside Maldives, a Maldives Country Code is used . Maldives Country Code however is not used when dialing within Maldives.
