Dialing Oman
The other type of code is Oman National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Oman. Oman NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Oman. Do not use Oman National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Oman into Oman.
For Oman long distance, you have to dial Oman National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+968 (Oman National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Oman Code or Oman International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Oman to outside Oman. Do not use Oman IDD code when dialing within Oman for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Oman from outside Oman, a Oman Country Code is used . Oman Country Code however is not used when dialing within Oman.
