Dialing Russia

The other type of code is Russia National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Russia. Russia NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Russia. Do not use Russia National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Russia into Russia.

For Russia long distance, you have to dial Russia National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:

+7 (Russia National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

On the other hand, International Dialing Russia Code or Russia International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Russia to outside Russia. Do not use Russia IDD code when dialing within Russia for long distance.

On the other hand, when dialing to Russia from outside Russia, a Russia Country Code is used . Russia Country Code however is not used when dialing within Russia.
