Dialing Tuvalu
The other type of code is Tuvalu National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Tuvalu. Tuvalu NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Tuvalu. Do not use Tuvalu National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Tuvalu into Tuvalu.
For Tuvalu long distance, you have to dial Tuvalu National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+688 (Tuvalu National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Tuvalu Code or Tuvalu International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Tuvalu to outside Tuvalu. Do not use Tuvalu IDD code when dialing within Tuvalu for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Tuvalu from outside Tuvalu, a Tuvalu Country Code is used . Tuvalu Country Code however is not used when dialing within Tuvalu.
