Dialing Vietnam
The other type of code is Vietnam National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Vietnam. Vietnam NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Vietnam. Do not use Vietnam National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Vietnam into Vietnam.
For Vietnam long distance, you have to dial Vietnam National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+84 (Vietnam National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Vietnam Code or Vietnam International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Vietnam to outside Vietnam. Do not use Vietnam IDD code when dialing within Vietnam for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Vietnam from outside Vietnam, a Vietnam Country Code is used . Vietnam Country Code however is not used when dialing within Vietnam.
