International Dialing Austria
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Austria. International Dialing Austria Code is also known as Austria International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Austria to outside Austria (sometimes also refers to as Austria international access code). Do not use Austria IDD code when dialing within Austria. By simply using the Austria Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Austria from within Austria. Without this international dialing Austria Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Austria because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Austria from within Austria, you have to dial International Dialing Austria Code or Austria International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Austria Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+43 (International Dialing Austria Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Austria from Austria, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Austria)
On the other hand, when dialing to Austria from outside Austria, a Austria Country Code is used. Austria Country Code however is not used when dialing within Austria.
The other type of code is Austria National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Austria (Refer to dialing Austria code). Austria NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Austria. Do not use Austria National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Austria into Austria.
