International Dialing Finland
This is the international dialing code used when dialing from Finland. International Dialing Finland Code is also known as Finland International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Finland to outside Finland (sometimes also refers to as Finland international access code). Do not use Finland IDD code when dialing within Finland. By simply using the Finland Dialing Code before the number, it unables you to place a call to outside Finland from within Finland. Without this international dialing Finland Code, you will not able to place a call outside the Finland because the telephone exachange will not reconginize it as a valid international call.
To dial a international number outside Finland from within Finland, you have to dial International Dialing Finland Code or Finland International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Finland Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+358 (International Dialing Finland Code) + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
When dialing from a mobile phone outside Finland from Finland, only Dial '+' + (Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" is universal mobile international direct dialing prefix also includes Finland)
On the other hand, when dialing to Finland from outside Finland, a Finland Country Code is used. Finland Country Code however is not used when dialing within Finland.
The other type of code is Finland National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Finland (Refer to dialing Finland code). Finland NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Finland. Do not use Finland National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Finland into Finland.
