Finland Country Code

For data processing and communications and Finland and it's dependent areas is represent by a Finland Country code. Finland country code is a short numeric geographical code (geocodes) developed by the ISO 3166-1 system. Finland country code is freqently refered to as Finland dialing codes or Finland E.164 calling code.

Finland Country Code is used when dialing to Finland from outside Finland. Finland Country Code is however not used when dialing within Finland.

To call Finland from outside Finland, you have to dial the your own country's International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), Finland Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number as:

Your Countries International Direct Dialing Prefix (IDD) +358 (Finland Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

When dialing from a mobile phone outside Finland into Finland, Dial '+' +358 (Finland Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" can be reached by holding down the "0" key until it turns into a "+". The "+" is universal prefix for all international mobile telephone calls including Finland)

Finland International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Finland to outside the country (Refer to international dialing Finland code or Finland international access code). Do not use Finland IDD when dialing within Finland.

Finland National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD) is used when dialing to a destination within the Finland (Refer to dialing Finland code). Do not use Finland National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Finland into Finland. Finland NDD is only used as long distance dialing within the country.
