USA Country Code

USA Country Code is used when dialing to USA from outside USA. USA Country Code is however not used when dialing within USA.

To call United States from outside USA, you have to dial the your own country's International Direct Dialing prefix (IDD), USA Country Code, City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number as:

Your Own Countries International Direct Dialing Prefix (IDD) + 1 (USA Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

When dialing from a mobile phone outside USA into USA, Dial '+' + 1 (USA Country Code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call. (The "+" can be reached by holding down the "0" key until it turns into a "+". The "+" is universal prefix for all international mobile telephone calls)
