Dialing Mexico
The other type of code is Mexico National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Mexico. Mexico NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Mexico. Do not use Mexico National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Mexico into Mexico.
For Mexico long distance, you have to dial Mexico National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+52 (Mexico National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Mexico Code or Mexico International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Mexico to outside Mexico. Do not use Mexico IDD code when dialing within Mexico for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Mexico from outside Mexico, a Mexico Country Code is used . Mexico Country Code however is not used when dialing within Mexico.
