Dialing Afghanistan
The other type of code is Afghanistan National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Afghanistan. Afghanistan NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Afghanistan. Do not use Afghanistan National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Afghanistan into Afghanistan.
For Afghanistan long distance, you have to dial Afghanistan National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+93 (Afghanistan National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Afghanistan Code or Afghanistan International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Afghanistan to outside Afghanistan. Do not use Afghanistan IDD code when dialing within Afghanistan for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Afghanistan from outside Afghanistan, a Afghanistan Country Code is used . Afghanistan Country Code however is not used when dialing within Afghanistan.
