Dialing Colombia
The other type of code is Colombia National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Colombia. Colombia NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Colombia. Do not use Colombia National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Colombia into Colombia.
For Colombia long distance, you have to dial Colombia National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+57 (Colombia National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Colombia Code or Colombia International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Colombia to outside Colombia. Do not use Colombia IDD code when dialing within Colombia for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Colombia from outside Colombia, a Colombia Country Code is used . Colombia Country Code however is not used when dialing within Colombia.
