Dialing Djibouti
The other type of code is Djibouti National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Djibouti. Djibouti NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Djibouti. Do not use Djibouti National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Djibouti into Djibouti.
For Djibouti long distance, you have to dial Djibouti National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+253 (Djibouti National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Djibouti Code or Djibouti International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Djibouti to outside Djibouti. Do not use Djibouti IDD code when dialing within Djibouti for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Djibouti from outside Djibouti, a Djibouti Country Code is used . Djibouti Country Code however is not used when dialing within Djibouti.
