Dialing Ghana
The other type of code is Ghana National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Ghana. Ghana NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Ghana. Do not use Ghana National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Ghana into Ghana.
For Ghana long distance, you have to dial Ghana National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+233 (Ghana National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Ghana Code or Ghana International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Ghana to outside Ghana. Do not use Ghana IDD code when dialing within Ghana for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Ghana from outside Ghana, a Ghana Country Code is used . Ghana Country Code however is not used when dialing within Ghana.
