Dialing Haiti
The other type of code is Haiti National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Haiti. Haiti NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Haiti. Do not use Haiti National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Haiti into Haiti.
For Haiti long distance, you have to dial Haiti National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+509 (Haiti National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Haiti Code or Haiti International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Haiti to outside Haiti. Do not use Haiti IDD code when dialing within Haiti for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Haiti from outside Haiti, a Haiti Country Code is used . Haiti Country Code however is not used when dialing within Haiti.
