Dialing Iceland

The other type of code is Iceland National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Iceland. Iceland NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Iceland. Do not use Iceland National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Iceland into Iceland.

For Iceland long distance, you have to dial Iceland National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:

+354 (Iceland National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

On the other hand, International Dialing Iceland Code or Iceland International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Iceland to outside Iceland. Do not use Iceland IDD code when dialing within Iceland for long distance.

On the other hand, when dialing to Iceland from outside Iceland, a Iceland Country Code is used . Iceland Country Code however is not used when dialing within Iceland.
