Dialing Nepal
The other type of code is Nepal National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Nepal. Nepal NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Nepal. Do not use Nepal National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Nepal into Nepal.
For Nepal long distance, you have to dial Nepal National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+977 (Nepal National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Nepal Code or Nepal International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Nepal to outside Nepal. Do not use Nepal IDD code when dialing within Nepal for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Nepal from outside Nepal, a Nepal Country Code is used . Nepal Country Code however is not used when dialing within Nepal.
