Dialing Sweden

The other type of code is Sweden National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Sweden. Sweden NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Sweden. Do not use Sweden National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Sweden into Sweden.

For Sweden long distance, you have to dial Sweden National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:

+46 (Sweden National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

On the other hand, International Dialing Sweden Code or Sweden International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Sweden to outside Sweden. Do not use Sweden IDD code when dialing within Sweden for long distance.

On the other hand, when dialing to Sweden from outside Sweden, a Sweden Country Code is used . Sweden Country Code however is not used when dialing within Sweden.
