Dialing Tokelau
The other type of code is Tokelau National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Tokelau. Tokelau NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Tokelau. Do not use Tokelau National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Tokelau into Tokelau.
For Tokelau long distance, you have to dial Tokelau National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:
+690 (Tokelau National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.
On the other hand, International Dialing Tokelau Code or Tokelau International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Tokelau to outside Tokelau. Do not use Tokelau IDD code when dialing within Tokelau for long distance.
On the other hand, when dialing to Tokelau from outside Tokelau, a Tokelau Country Code is used . Tokelau Country Code however is not used when dialing within Tokelau.
