Dialing Uganda

The other type of code is Uganda National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD). It is used only when dialing to a destination within the Uganda. Uganda NDD code is only used as long distance dialing within the Uganda. Do not use Uganda National Direct Dialing prefix when dialing from outside Uganda into Uganda.

For Uganda long distance, you have to dial Uganda National Direct Dialing prefix (or NDD), City/ Area Code, and then the subscriber telephone number respectively as:

+256 (Uganda National Direct Dialing prefix code) + City Area Code + Number you wish to call.

On the other hand, International Dialing Uganda Code or Uganda International Direct Dialing prefix (or IDD) is used when dialing from the Uganda to outside Uganda. Do not use Uganda IDD code when dialing within Uganda for long distance.

On the other hand, when dialing to Uganda from outside Uganda, a Uganda Country Code is used . Uganda Country Code however is not used when dialing within Uganda.
